HOT LOINS >> Yeah we know, pretty much the best band name ever. This freak-noise-post-punk band will have their debut full-length released some time this fall on Sound Document. More details to come. Check them out live at the Victory Square Block Party in Vancouver, BC on September 4th 2006.

YOU SAY PARTY! WE SAY DIE! >> So You Say Party! are on their second tour of europe right now. They'll be going back in November; a show in Dublin with The Metric, some university shows in the UK, and a France tour with We Are Scientists. They have an upcoming North American tour... first half with Paper Bag recording artists Controller.Controller and second half with French Kiss recording artists Thunderbirds Are Now! The band has now officially opened for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's and TV On The Radio! Hit The Floor! has been released in North America, Europe, Australia and soon Japan and China. Asia/Australia tour in the works for February. The second single, a double A side featuring You Did It! and Love In The New Millennium will be released on Sink & Stove Records on September 11th, 2006.

CADEAUX >> Cadeaux dearly departed on April 29th, 2006 when the band realized its members had different life priorities. The 6 newest demo tracks are too unpolished to release at this time, but there is talk of reworking some elements. We'll see what happens.

BAKELITE >> Currently on a hiatus after their european tour. Word on the street is that Jim Risbe will be continuing his musical endeavors with another pair of musicians. An Australian tour is still in the works for December.

We're planning a new press photo shoot for early April. Additionally the band has begun licensing songs to TV and film including episode 2 of CTV's new series Whistler... listen during the credits next fall! Haha... if you can remember.

Cadeaux is ready to go into the studio again to record their second full-length album. Demo recordings are taking place today, in preparation. This new album will be recorded at Lab Monkey Studio by Shawn Cole and it is yet to be determined whether the album will be released on Sound Document or another label.

Bakelite's Australian tour has been pushed back to next Winter (their summer) due to changes in funding plans. We'll keep you posted if they plan any tours before that.

It has been a long time since we updated our site, apologies for that. Here's what's happening:

You Say Party! We Say Die! are getting tons of attention right now, their cross Canada tour is going smoothly and press is abundant.

Bakelite is currently recording a bunch of new stuff that is going to be released as multiple 7 inches and EPs on various labels.

Cadeaux is currently writing their second full-length record and then will resume touring.

We are considering our options for a spring release. If you are interested in being a part of the team, please mail your demo or album to our Robson Street address.
